Just two weeks after the UK Microsoft Store brought back its free Display Dock offer with Lumia 950 or Lumia 950XL offer in the UK, the company is once again slashing the price of its flagship fifth generation Lumias in the country (via Neowin). Indeed, customers in the UK can now get a Lumia 950 for £319.99 (previously £399.99) or a Lumia 950XL for £399.99 (previously £469.99), but Microsoft will also give you a free Display Dock (£79.99 value) plus a 1-year Office 365 Personal (£59.99 value) along your purchase.
If you’ve been following the news about both devices over the last few months, you may be aware that it’s not the first Microsoft that Microsoft is discounting its flagship phones. While the Lumia 950 originally launched for £499.99 in the UK, Microsoft later reduced its price by £50 even before it was officially available for sale in the country, and both flagship phones were discounted further to match the prices offered by other retailers in the following months.
According to the store listings, it seems that these latest price cuts are permanent. It wouldn’t be really surprising as Microsoft is clearly struggling to sell its Lumia handsets targeted at Windows enthusiasts. Remember, the company only sold 2.5M Lumias during its FY16 Q3 and Lumia sales could continue to decrease while the company is reportedly working on a Surface Phone to be released in Spring 2017. Let us know in the comments if you think Microsoft’s flagship handsets are worth buying at this discounted price.Further reading: Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft, Microsoft Store UK, UK
