If you’re a Windows Insider, you probably received an email alerting you that the that the Windows Insider Program Agreement Terms would change this week. The new version of the document is now online on the Windows Insider website, and you can check it on this page.
After comparing the new version with the previous one, we saw that an, with no big changes to the content overall, aside from the new version being shorter and more readable. It’s worth noting though that the Confidentialiy/NDA terms have disappeared, which makes sense as Windows 10 Insider builds are public and accessible to everyone. But other than that, it’s business as usual: Microsoft makes it clear that you’re volunteering to test and provide feedback about pre-release software, and that participation is at your own risk. And of course, that you can leave the program whenever you want.
We’re well aware that most people never take the time to read these types of documents, but kudos to the Windows Insider team for trying to make the Agreement Terms a bit more intelligible.Further reading: Microsoft, Windows Insider Program
