That time has finally come. Windows 8 is set to launch October 25th in an event taking place in New York and Microsoft is planning on putting up a live webcast of the launch, for those who are unable to attend the event. So sit back, relax, and lets welcome Windows 8 into the world!

Remember when it was hard to get any information on Microsoft’s upcoming operating system? Remember when the first build of Windows 8 leaked onto the internet and everyone went into a frenzy over it? Now, the time has come for Windows 8 to be officially launched. The event starts at 11AM Eastern time, 8AM Pacific. We will update this post once Microsoft initiates the live webcast.

You can now watch the stream below. If you don’t have Silverlight installed, visit this link to view via Media Player.
