Surface RT

For those of you reading from Russia, we have some good news to report. If you have been holding out for the Surface RT, it is finally being made available to you. Microsoft is set to launch the Surface RT in Russia beginning April 4th, but there is no word on how much it will cost you.

Those in Russia will be able to purchase the Surface RT from a M.video store, which is the regions largest consumer electronics retailer. Microsoft made this announcement on the company’s Russian website, even indicating that this was not an April fools joke.

Microsoft will also be hyping the launch of the Surface RT with a concert called “brigade at” featuring Ukrainian pop-singer and television presenter Vera Brezhneva. This takes place at the Neglinnaya Plaza shopping center at 6pm. Those interested in purchasing the Surface RT can go hands on with the device at the event.

Microsoft will also be launching the Surface Pro, running Windows 8 Pro, in Russia, as well as other countries, but no exact release date was revealed. As for pricing of the Surface RT, Microsoft has not disclosed it so hopefully it doesn’t cost our Russian readers an arm and a leg.
