Microsoft rolls out Lumia Denim in China for Lumia 520, 525, 1320, and several other handsets

It’s been a while since Microsoft released the Lumia Denim update, but it’s yet to land on existing devices. Microsoft did launch a number of handsets with the latest update, with a promise that it will roll out for existing devices as soon as it passes carrier approval and testing. However, things are a little different on the other side of the globe in China where the company is now rolling out the Windows Phone 8.1 update with Lumia Denim for a number of handsets.

The update is rolling out for Lumia 520, 525, 526, 625, 720, 720T and the phablet-sized Lumia 1320. The update brings all the goodness of Windows Phone 8.1, as well as the highly anticipated digital personal assistant Huna, Chinese version of Cortana. It also brings several other improvements such as Live folders which allows users to organize apps and games in a folder on the Start Screen, apps corner, several imaging improvements, and much more.

The update should hit all devices in the coming days since the process is gradual. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Updates. We’ll update you if the update starts rolling out in any other region. Stay tuned to WinBeta.
