Microsoft's earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 are here, and naturally, there's been a ton of news coming out of it for those of us who like to keep an eye on the tech giant. One of the particularly interesting highlights comes from Microsoft's success with Surface, which has seen a very considerable increase in sales since last year. To be exact, Microsoft's latest earnings report puts Surface revenue up a whopping 38%, marking that division a considerable success.

Unsurprisingly, this spike in Surface sales has been more or less driven by the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, Microsoft's latest two Surface products. If this isn't enough good news for Surface fans, then keep an eye out for Microsoft's Surface event in just under a week, which seems like it's going to be revealing a brand new Surface brandsed all-in-one device.
