Microsoft stores to reportedly start selling Microsoft Band from January 3rd

Since its launch, the Microsoft Band has been hard to get. Earlier this month, the online store listed the wearable as “out of stock” with expected availability to be early 2015. How early? Well, if the latest leak is to be believed, Microsoft Stores may start selling the wearable device from January 3rd.

The news comes from an alert sent out to staff at one of the company’s stores which lists January 3rd as the availability date for the band. It says,

Customers in our database will receive an e-mail announcing Microsoft Band availability this Saturday, January 3rd, to drive traffic to our stores. To support the intended increase in traffic over the weekend, stores will receive additional inventory of Microsoft Band Friday, January 2nd.
