Microsoft reportedly to begin selling the Xbox One in China starting this September
The Xbox One made its debut in November of 2013 in North America, however, those in China were left waiting in anticipation for Microsoft’s next-generation entertainment console. According to a new report by Re/Code, Microsoft is set to announce the sale of Xbox One in China, which will hit shelves in September of this year.
For the past 14 years, China has implemented a ban on the sale of foreign games consoles in the country. This ban was lifted by China’s State Council back in January of this year, meaning that Microsoft will be able to tap into the lucrative market and start selling the Xbox One in the territory.
Microsoft is expected to make an official announcement in the next few hours. For those of you who reside in China, are you excited to finally hear that the Xbox One will be available nearly a year after its launch?Further reading: China, Microsoft, Xbox One
