Microsoft has released a critical security update for Internet Explorer versions 6 to 9 for the Windows client operating system, and the same update is rated moderate for those on the Windows Server operating system. On top of that, the update bumps the build number of IE9 to 9.0.6

This new update is a part of the April 2012 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer and fixes five vulnerabilities that can allow remote code execution if a user visits a malicious website using Internet Explorer, which will ultimately allow the hacker to gain control of the computer. Those who have enabled automatic updating in Windows will not have to worry about manually updating, but those who do not have automatic updates enabled can download this patch via Windows Update.
