Just a couple of days after Microsoft’s 13.5-inch Surface Book 2 started shipping in select markets, the new Surface device has already received some driver updates that should improve reliability and compatibility (via Neowin). As the hybrid laptop actually ships with the Windows 10 Creators Update instead of the more recent Fall Creators Update, two different sets of driver updates are now rolling out to Surface Book 2 owners.

  • Surface DTX – System devices: 2.27.136.0 improves system stability
  • Surface UCSI Device – Universal Serial Bus controllers: 2.14.136.0 improves system stability

Surface Book 2 devices already running the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update should see the following driver updates:

  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060- Device adapters: 23.21.13.8808 required to support Windows Mixed Reality features
  • Surface ACPI Notify Driver – System devices: 5.15.136.0 required to support Windows Mixed Reality features
