Microsoft has released their first native iPad app. Bing for iPad takes many of Bing’s services and delivers an intuitive and expansive user interface.
As reported by Macworld, Bing for iPad includes all the core Bing services including Web, news, movie listings, and local businesses. Users can also keep track of any stocks, weather, and popular searches. The app also allows for voice controlled search.
Bing for iPad provides a magazine-like layout for news and trending topics similar to other iPad apps such as Flipboard and Tweetmag. This should allow for easy reading in different environments. While the app is lacking a few features such as mass transit directions and location-based checkin, it is nevertheless a worthy first attempt by Microsoft and worth checking out.
