Microsoft releases Azure Government for the unique needs of government customers
Moving companies to the cloud is a long and difficult process, but even harder is moving governments. When a government uses a system, they need to be sure that it is safe, secure, and easy to use. Microsoft has special versions of their cloud offering specifically tailored for government customers. These government special products include Office 365, Dynamic CRM, and Azure, which makes Microsoft a one stop shop for all government cloud needs.
Microsoft offers special assurance to their US government customers that their cloud data will be hosted in the US and only handled by US citizens. According to Microsoft this is a promise unique to Microsoft’s products. In addition to these assurances, Microsoft meets a range of regulation certifications and has even received Provisional Authority to operate by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Joint Authorization Board, which is a huge hurdle to overcome. Azure for Government is available now for government customers in the US.Further reading: Azure, Dyanmic CRM, Government, Microsoft, Office 365
