Microsoft refreshes the look of Movies & TV for some Insiders in latest app update

If you like using the Movies & TV from the Windows Store, then you’ll be happy to know that Microsoft is working on making it look better. A redesigned interface has been updated into the app, but only for Slow ring users, reports Neowin.

Aaron Hall, a Windows Insider, first spotted the update and tweeted images of the UWP’s new look for both PC and mobile.

The complete remodel looks to be taking full advantage of Project Neon, the graphical improvements expected in the Windows 10 Creators Update. The UI looks a whole lot sleeker, defining categories better and interestingly enough adding a “Personal” tab at the top of the app. But the real showstopper is the addition of the “Explore” carousel that will encourage users with recommended picks from the Windows Store.

This update is only currently available in the Slow Ring for Windows Insiders since Fast Ring app updates have been put on pause. The best way to get the new Movies & TV app then is to switch temporarily to the Slow Ring long enough for the download before switching back to the Fast Ring, although we haven’t tried this, let us know if it works for you.
