Microsoft PowerToys v0.69 ships with new Registry Preview utility and more

Microsoft has just released an update for PowerToys bumping it to version 0.69. The new update features a new utility, the long-awaited Registry Preview tool that’s designed to help advanced users preview the impact of importing a .reg file into the registry, along with registry editing options.

Thanks to this new addition to the platform, users will no longer have to rely on external software like Notepad to make edits and adjustments through .reg files. The update also features a fix for the crashing issue caused by thumbnail image loading as well as support for per-user scope installation.

Additionally, the update also features a ton of fixes as well as improvements. Be sure to check out the full changelog over at GitHub’s repository.

If you already have PowerToys running on your device, it should automatically notify you of this update. Alternatively, you can get this update today by launching your app, then clicking on General followed by the Check for Updates, and then the Install Now button.
