There’s a saying that should be quite familiar to any Microsoft fan: Microsoft giveth, and Microsoft taketh away. This was absolutely the case recently when the company first added linked inboxes into the Windows 10 Mobile Mail app and then pulled it back out. According to the master of the big red button, Gabe Aul, this was due to a temporary bug fix that’s soon to be resolved.
@marcthepunk Linked inboxes is in final stages of refinement before we send it back to Insiders. Temporarily pulled it back to fix a bug

That’s great news, of course, because a combined email inbox is one of the things missing from Windows 10 Mobile. We’ll be happy as clams when the functionality is plugged back in and we can access all of our messages from one place.
We’ll update you when the deal is done. In the meantime, keep checking those separate mailboxes with visions of unified inboxes dancing in your heads.
