Microsoft is launching the NexTech Africa event on the 2nd and 3rd of February this year, making an attempt to further locally relevant technologies in Africa. The event is going to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, and will be a major gathering of engineers and other great minds in Africa to solve any number of technological and financial issues. The theme this year will be “Building for Africa.”

NexTech Africa is a 2-day meeting of the minds designed to engage, empower and inspire. By listening to the unique voice and perspective Africans possess, together, we can build technology that better supports African creators.

Registration for NexTech Africa is open right now through the event’s website. If you don’t think you’ll be able to attend the event but still want to check it out, everything is going to be streamed live through their website or on Channel 9. Either way, you should be sure to give the event a look when it comes around in early February.
