Microsoft makes some nice cross-platform apps for iOS and Android via its Microsoft Garage team of hackers. Some of those apps are better than the ones Apple and Google ship themselves, such as the Arrow Launcher for Android. Another good example is the Pix Camera app for iPhone, which offers up a camera app that rivals Apple’s built-in version.
Today, the Pix Camera app was updated to version 1.0.22 with one nice and one necessary new feature:
* NEW: Add decorative frames to any image – both still and Live Images. Try our exclusive Fantastic Beasts frame!
* NEW: Support for dual lens on iPhone 7 plus, which preserves the full detail captured by the telephoto lens.
* IMPROVED: White balance adjusted slightly warmer to enhance the healthy glow of skin tones.
If you’re already using the app, then open up the App Store and hit the update button. If you haven’t yet given it a try, then you can download it via our convenient link below. Let us know in the comments if you’re using Pix Camera on your iPhone and if you indeed think it’s better than Apple’s own.
