Microsoft partners with Youtube for Halo 5: Guardians launch

It’s only 11 days until the launch of Halo 5: Guardians on the Xbox One (which also happens to be Microsoft’s NYC flagship store’s opening day,) and to make it easier for Halo fans around the world to join in on the excitement, Microsoft is partnering with YouTube for an exclusive broadcast of the event. The news is featured on Xbox Wire.
The broadcast, dubbed “Halo 5: Live,” will start at 6 p.m EDT on October 26 and end at midnight, when Halo 5: Guardians official goes on sale in North America. Planned content include exclusive gameplay reveals, the premiere of the new animated series “Halo: The Fall of Reach,” talks with writers behind the Halo universe as well as the voices behind the series’ most iconic characters.
True to its global approach, there will be special events for Halo fans happening around the world (showcased locations include Australia, the UK, Japan, Taiwan, New Zealand and Hong,) with numerous activities from competition to cosplaying and real-life combat simulations. All Microsoft Stores will be streaming the broadcast and hold special celebration events.
Halo 5: Guardians is shaping up to be the biggest game launch in the Xbox’s history, and from the recent hands-on, looking to propel the franchise to new heights.
