The official Microsoft Outlook app updated for Android smartphones and tablets today. In addition to the usual bug fixes and minor performance enhancements, this update also added a new feature that will automatically display reply suggestions when composing an email.
These suggestions won’t activate for all emails in Outlook but, when they do, they can simply be tapped on to be added to the body of the email currently being composed.
Here’s the official release notes:
Give those tired thumbs a rest! You can tap a suggestion to jump-start your reply for some emails. Don’t worry, you’ll have the chance to edit your response before it’s sent.
All of our weekly updates also include performance improvements and bug fixes to make Outlook better for you.
