During the Worldwide Partner Conference, Microsoft revealed that the software giant hopes to have 101 retail stores in total by “this time next year.” On top of which, Microsoft is expecting to open a retail store in China soon.

Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner revealed this tidbit during the WPC 2013 event on Wednesday (July 10th). This is obviously great news for those to prefer to visit a Microsoft retail store to actually toy around or learn about new Microsoft products or purchase existing devices or services.

Microsoft recently revealed that the software giant will be opening a Windows Store, roughly 1,500 square feet to 2,200 square feet, within 600 different Best Buy locations. These Windows Stores within Best Buy will allow consumers to browse, try, compare, and purchase a wide variety of Microsoft’s products including Windows-based PCs and tablets, Windows Phones, Office, Xbox, and much more.
