While the Lumia 650 is sporting an arguably flashier design than its flagship brothers the 950 and 950 XL, Finish smartphone case maker Mozo is back to help customers customize the look of their new Windows phone. Similar to the announcement of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, Mozo Accessories has agreed to produce a handful of replaceable backs for the latest Windows 10 Mobile handset, the Lumia 650.
Where most Lumia 950 and 950 XL’s initially donned a polycarbonate plastic bodies, the Lumia 650 comes with a “highly polished diamond cut and anodized aluminum frame,” perhaps mitigating the need for a replaceable back. However, Mozo appears fully prepared to offer owners a chance to swap out or cover their new handsets with either a professionally subtle brushed metal backing design or a few protective silicon covers to ward off scratches and dents.
As of now, there is only some teaser information about the Lumia 650 cases at Mozo Accessories website and notation of ‘soon’ indicating that the cases should appear some time alongside the late February release timeframe for the device.
As for Mozo’s chances of catering to the mid-range market of buyers who have a device that, for the most part, looks better than its flagship brethren, should be interesting to see nonetheless.Further reading: accessories, Cases, Lumia, Lumia 650, Microsoft, mozo, smartphone
