Earlier this month, Microsoft introduced the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in India carrying a Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 15,799 respectively. If you’re still on the fence, now might be a good time to get your hands on the Lumia 640 as it’s price has been reduced to Rs. 9,999 ($158), making it an extremely attractive option for users on a tight budget.
The Lumia 640 is without a doubt an excellent handset, featuring a 5-inch 720p display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot should you ever require more storage.
Other features include an 8MP camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, a user replaceable 2,500 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. Microsoft did confirm that Lumia 640 will be upgradeable to Windows 10 for phones once it’s ready for prime time later this year.
