Microsoft looking to recruit more women, will support their career development

According to a study at the National Center for Women & Information Technology, women play a major role in the future of technology advancement. A new campaign called “Sit with Me” emphasizes women and how they improve technical innovation. Microsoft has jumped on board this program and is looking to recruit more women and support their career development.

“Women improve technical innovation. Groups with greater diversity solve complex problems better and faster than do homogenous groups,” the National Center for Women and Information Technology states. Since women hold 25% of technology and computing jobs, Microsoft is looking to recruit and support women in IT. Microsoft plans on starting a series of profiles and videos on women in leadership roles at the company. “Research shows that companies with the highest representation of women in their management teams have a 34% higher return on investment than do those with few or no women,” the group adds. You can check out the profiles and videos here.
