Microsoft has introduced yet another budget-friendly handset known as the Lumia 540 Dual SIM. It follows the companys Lumia 52x line up offering a similar set of specifications with a few changes here and there. THe handset is expected to launch in IMEA and APAC regions, and Italy in May carrying an affordable $149 price tag.
It’s not much different than the Lumia 535 in terms of specifications with improvements in some areas such as the display. The handset comes with a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels compared to 960 by 540 pixels on the Lumia 535. The processing comes from the good old Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. As far as the photographic capabilities are concerned, the handset features an 8MP main camera as well as a selfie-focused 5MP front-facing wide-angle camera.
Other notable features includes a 2,200 mAh battery, microSD card slot, up to 30GB of free OneDrive storage, and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim as its operating system out of the box.
The handset will hit retail in multiple color options, including cyan, orange, white and matte black.
