Microsoft has launched the Windows Phone Dev Center as an evolution to the App Hub developer portal. This new Dev Center is designed to provide all the tools necessary to build, publish, and manage apps for the Windows Phone platform.
The new Windows Phone Dev center features a cleaner look and streamlines menu. There are more markets and new opportunities for app developers as well. “Developers can soon register in four times as many countries or regions, and get paid in three times as many as what’s possible today,” Microsoft adds. It is also now easier to edit and update your account information as well as new analytic tools for tracking app downloads and performance have been put in place. The Dev Center is deeply integrated with MSDN, so you no longer need to leave it to browse Windows Phone-related forums and SDK info. Based on feedback, Microsoft has also integrated PayPal into the Dev Center. “So the Dev Center now supports PayPal, something many of you asked for. If PayPal service is available in your market, you can use it both to get paid and to pay for your developer account,” Microsoft adds.Microsoft, Windows Phone 7, Windows Phone 8
