Microsoft launches Windows 8 App Developer blog, will share Metro experiences

Microsoft has launched a new blog today to compliment the recent release of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. This new blog is designed to share lessons and engage in conversation about the new Metro design language.

“We are launching this blog dedicated to those of you who are designing and developing great apps for Windows 8. As you’ve heard us say many times, Windows 8 is a reimagining of Windows, where apps take center stage. To make this possible, we’ve also reimagined what it means to build apps for Windows,” Microsoft states in an official blog post.

Microsoft is planning on sharing Metro design lessons as well as engaging with the community when it comes to Metro app development. Developers will be able to access tips and tricks of building Metro-styled apps as well as share experiences. Microsoft also plans on linking to examples in the Windows Dev Center website to help those who are developing Metro-styled apps.

You can also check out the Dev Center to download tools and SDK for Windows 8, or visit the new App Developer blog.
