Microsoft launches new MSN News beta app on iOS and Android

Microsoft has quietly launched a new beta version of its MSN News app on iOS and Android (via Windows Latest). The new apps introduce a new UI with a bottom navigation bar, with dedicated buttons for your personalized news feed, local news and search. A black theme option is also available in the settings, and it should please those of you who prefer it on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.

The MSN News beta app is available from the Google Play Beta Store for Android users, but iOS users will have to fill a form to get a chance to try it via Apple’s TestFlight app. It’s true that the MSN News apps for iOS and Android don’t receive as much love as the Windows 10 universal app these days, but the launch of a new beta app suggests that this could change in the future. If you use Microsoft’s news aggregator app on your iOS or Android handset, let us know your thoughts about these new beta apps in the comments below.
