Microsoft launches Lumia 930 in India for Rs 38,649 ($625), available on Sale from October 15

At the sidelines of the launch of the Lumia 730, and Lumia 830, Microsoft also officially launched the Lumia 930 in India today. The Lumia 930 was first listed on nation’s leading e-commerce portal Flipkart a few months ago, but, its availability was recently changed from “coming soon” to “N/A”.

Interestingly, Microsoft has revised the price of the phone from Rs 29,999 ($486) (as listed on Flipkart) to Rs 38,649 ($625). This does make the phone a lot pricier! Launched at the Build 2014 conference, the Lumia 930 sports a 5-inch ClearBlack OLED full HD display flaunting 441ppi pixel density. Inside the device sits a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone runs on Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box.

The handset comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can’t be expanded via microSD card. The cell shutterbugs will appreciate the 20-megapixel PureView camera with dual-LED flash, and the 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone comes with a 2,420mAh battery with support for wireless charging.

Microsoft is also offering a 1TB of OneDrive storage for six months for free, which would otherwise cost you Rs 150 ($2.5) per month. The phone will be available for purchase from October 15.
