Microsoft Launcher 5.8 is now available to beta testers of the app on Android (via Neowin). This update is very small at first glance, although some general users might notice that icons for new apps are now automatically added to the home screen, much like in older versions of Android.
However, the most significant new addition is targeted towards enterprise users. IT admins can now take advantage of fully managed devices support through Microsoft Intune, allowing them to customize the wallpaper, home screen apps, icon placement, as well as the availability of the news feed for their employees.
If you’re not a beta tester, there’s also an update for you, as well. Microsoft Launcher 5.7 is now available to all Android users (via MSPU) and brings the new Cortana conversation experience similar to that of the Google Assistant. The update also moves the feed tabs to the bottom of the screen for better one-handed use on larger screens, and also brings other improvements, including enhancements to the dragging and dropping experience.
