Microsoft is a Leader in enterprise file sync and share, says Forrester

Microsoft today shared they have been recognized by Forrester as a Leader in enterprise file sync and share. This is all in Forrester's latest Wave report for Cloud Enterprise File Sync and Share, which also ranked Microsoft highest in current offering and placed them in a tie for second in strategy.

For Microsoft, this recognition is significant, as it shows that the company is committed to ensuring OneDrive brings the best possible file sharing and collaboration experiences. Microsoft quoted this in their take on the report.

The Forrester report stated that “Microsoft offers comprehensive collaboration” and OneDrive “delivers workplace productivity, file sharing, and content management capabilities that are increasingly powered by cognitive content services.” Forrester also made note of our adoption and deployment service, citing that “Microsoft helps clients migrate from on-premises systems with its FastTrack program; eligible customers can move files at no cost.”

OneDrive offers up plenty of value for both consumers and enterprises, as it is included with Office 365 subscriptions, and enables the editing of Office documents across platforms. OneDrive also supports a broad range of file types, brings Microsoft security capabilities, enables deployment flexibility, and has a global footprint thanks to Microsoft's cloud leadership and compliance.

Microsoft is also always working to improve OneDrive, and the company notes that they have delivered over 100 new features over the past year, including the Files on Demand feature. Congratulations to Microsoft for the achievement, and cheers to more success on the road ahead.
