Microsoft’s MVP program, which celebrates the community of experts sharing their knowledge about Microsoft products with others, is adding a new category, for Office Apps and Services. This one includes many contribution areas such as Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint or Microsoft Teams.
Proud to announce the new @MVPAward category – Office Apps and Services! We now have contribution areas from award categories from Office Servers & Services, Office Applications and (formerly) Business Solutions. Welcome to the family! #BetterTogether pic.twitter.com/q0DDOOoOHG

With the addition of this new Office Apps and Services category, there are now 11 different Award categories for the MVP Program. Microsoft also introduced a new AI category last year to acknowledge the growing interest in this field.
Microsoft recently made the MVP program transition to an annual reward cycle, and the latest one kicked off this July. As of today, there are more than 4,000 MVPs globally, which are nominated by Microsoft employees, their peers, or anyone else who wants to submit a nomination. You can even nominate yourself, if you think you have what it takes to deserve this special recognition.
