Microsoft hires Annie Parker as new global head of startups

Noted by ZDNet, Microsoft has hired Annie Parker as a new global head of startups. Parker was previously the interim CEO at Fishburner and is more well known as the co-founder of the startup accelerator, Muru-D.

Annie Parker will be joining Microsoft in March and promises there are many “fabulous plans” to share. She first mentioned the news of joining Microsoft on Twitter, saying that “It’s a wonderful opportunity to work at scale & to make a global impact, I can’t wait to get started!

A Microsoft spokesperson mentioned the pleasure of having Parker join the Microsoft family, saying “We are pleased to confirm that Annie Parker has joined Microsoft to work on our startup programs.”

Parker will be handing over her CEO role at Fishburner to COO Pandora Shelley. We congratulate Annie Parker on her new position at Microsoft and look forward to hearing more from her in the months ahead.
