In an official Microsoft blog post today, the devices and services giant showcased Bing Search and its integral role in the new Xbox One entertainment console. With Bing search for Xbox One, you can find entertainment with ease.
“Bing makes finding the entertainment you want easier than ever on Xbox One. Whether your game, show, song or movie is in an app, on your console, or in our own Xbox Music or Xbox Video, the same instant search technology that powers Bing web search also brings your entertainment results together beautifully on your TV.”
With the Xbox One, you have a combined gaming, music, movies, and live TV experience in one console. On top of that, you have Bing and Kinect that allows you to find, play, watch, and listen to whatever you want.
According to Microsoft, our typical TV experience is a one-way street. We sit there and watch whatever is on TV. With the Xbox One, we can not only interact with our entertainment with our voice, but also control and navigate the entire system. For example, you can turn on the Xbox by saying “Xbox on” and even launch a game by saying, “Xbox, go to Forza Motorsport 5.”
This is taken a step further with Bing. You can say, “I feel like watching comedy movies from the 1980’s” or “Show me popular dubstep music” and Bing will find you the entertainment you want! Pretty cool feature.
