It’s been a while since Microsoft released the budget-friendly Lumia 535. The handset is available in several markets, and comes with an extremely affordable price tag. In Europe, the handset is just under £100, while it’s cost in India is almost around $145.
According to a new report from Zauba, an imports tracking website in India, Microsoft has shipped over half a million units of the Lumia 535 to India — 502,468 to be exact — since its launch in November. The total cost of the units are $30.3 million, with all the units being imported from China. If we were to speculate, it could mean that Lumia 535 is seeing a good response on Indian shores and beyond, and it kind of makes sense as the handset offers an attractive set of specifications for a pocket-friendly price.
As a quick recap, the Lumia 535 comes with a 5-inch qHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot for users looking for more storage as well. Other notable features include 5 MP front and rear cameras, a 1,905 mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim.
