Microsoft Graph updated to power new personalized Delve Office 365 search

Microsoft announced today the roll out of a new personalized search experience within Office Delve as well as several Microsoft Graph improvements for Office 365 customers. These new features are all about leveraging artificial intelligence to provide a more personalized experience across the productivity suite, but Microsoft added that it also has to keep up with usage growth. “Specific to search, the content indexing service is growing steadily at 10 percent month-over-month – proof that users may be more challenged to find the right people and content,” explained the company.

As a tool designed to help you find the information and contacts that are most important to you, Delve’s new personalized search experience will help you find what you’re looking for much quicker: the search box can now display your latest search results, but you’ll also see better suggestions after typing some keywords in the search bar. The search results page has also been redesigned to surface content that is most relevant to you.

Microsoft Graph, the intelligent fabric to Office 365 data that facilitates searches across the Microsoft cloud is also getting new insights from Office 365 Groups, Outlook modern attachments and more. Outside of these relevance improvements, Microsoft added that Microsoft Graph results are now “returned faster with improved success rates and content freshness.”

The intelligence-powered search in Delve will be available to First Release customers next week, and the improved experience will eventually roll out to all Office 365 customers this summer. You can learn more about Delve personalized search on this support page.
