Microsoft Nigeria has given out 12 Ford Figo’s to winners of their #MakeitHappen campaign that recently finished over the holidays. The Make it Happen campaign has already helped people in a variety of ways including helping a British accountant learn Spanish for his wedding speech and helping people with their New Year’s resolutions. The most recent promotion is focused on aiding people’s mobility and ability to succeed.
A general manager of Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services stated “Lumia has connected people to brand new cars and aims to empower consumers to achieve more with their mobile devices.” A Microsoft senior marketing manager added that a car helps the winners in many aspects of their life “[a car] improves their mobility and increases their ability to be more productive likewise work and play effectively.” Winners of the promotion traveled from different parts of Nigeria and their return trips were no doubt easier with their new vehicles.
Even though Ford and Microsoft have recently had a bit of a falling out with Ford dropping Microsoft for its ‘Sync’ system, both companies were involved in helping twelve individuals receive new cars and improving their lives.Further reading: Ford, Microsoft
