Microsoft files patent for two sided display on a smartphone

It appears Microsoft is planning to up their game in the smartphone market, with a new patent appearing online, the company may be planning to test out a two sided display on a smartphone. This will obviously allow you to use your device on wither side.. But would it be popular amongst consumers?

The device would have a “default” high powered touchscreen on the front, and a lower powered touchscreen on the back. The back one will most probably be limited to certain features like looking at photos or checking the time. The front screen would be used for your everyday smartphone uses.

Since the technology needed to make a smartphone like this is already around today, a phone like this is plausible. But will Microsoft push out the boat and go ahead to sell this to the public? Only time will tell!
