Microsoft expands HoloLens Readiness Program in Europe

Microsoft has announced today an expansion of its HoloLens Agency Readiness Partner Program in Europe. Microsoft launched this program back at Build 2016, with 10 original agency partners in US and Canada assisting companies creating mixed reality experiences.

Following the release of HoloLens in several new markets last year, Microsoft is adding six new Europe-focused agency partners to the program today: these are Black Marble, Fundamental VR and REWIND in the UK, Holoforge and Immersion in France and Zuhlke in Germany.

“Working with one of our hand-selected HoloLens Agency Readiness Partners is one of the quickest ways to get started with creating mixed reality applications that can transform working with 3D data, bringing new products and information to life, and creating new opportunities for business growth,” explained Lorraine Bardeen, General Manager, Microsoft HoloLens and Windows Experiences.

HoloLens first started shipping in the US back in March 2016, and the Mixed Reality headset seems to have found some success in the enterprise world over the past two years. It remains to be seen when Microsoft will unveil a new version of the headset, but the first generation seems to be doing fine for now. “The HoloLens eco-system is thriving and enabling more customers than ever to create HoloLens solutions,” Bardeen said today.
