Microsoft Edge on iOS gets intelligent visual search feature, other improvements for work and school accounts

Just about half a month ago, the beta version of Microsoft Edge on iOS picked up a new visual search feature, paste & go search in the address bar, and more. Now that beta testing of this version has just been completed, these same features are now rolling out to everyone else running Edge on iOS.

To enjoy the new intelligent visual search feature, all you need to do is press on the camera icon in the address bar from the home page on Edge. This will then open up the camera and allow you to snap a photo (or choose one of your own) of your surroundings to discover information on contacts, landmarks, or products.  See this and some of the other new features in action below.

Today’s update also adds in the ability to choose more default search engine options under the settings. Additionally, with paste and go support, you can more easily search the web, paste web addresses, and speed up your browsing. Those who are using Edge with a work or school account should also see some new features: You’ll now be able to see your organization’s home page, securely access intranet sites from home, and see your mobile activity on your PC’s Timeline.

If you’re not already running Edge on iOS you can download via the link below. Once you’ve updated please do let us know how the experience is working for you by dropping us a comment in the section below.
