The Dev channel for Microsoft’s new Edge Insider browser is now available on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, the Microsoft Edge team announced today. The Canary channel, which gets daily updates, launched on these older versions of Windows last week, and it’s good to see Microsoft bringing the Dev channel to these users so promptly.

The Dev channel is currently on a weekly release cycle, and the latest Dev build was released yesterday with dark mode improvements and more. A Beta channel that will be updated every six weeks will be available later on Windows and macOS.

We remind you that you can install both the Canary and Dev channels of Microsoft Edge on your PC, and both apps will be updated automatically once a new build is available. All preview builds are available to download on Microsoft’s Edge Insider website.
