Microsoft has started testing a new toolbar experience in its Edge browser that lets users manage Collections while browsing the web. The feature has been spotted in the latest Canary builds of Edge, and it’s gradually rolling out to all Canary users (via Deskmodder).

Just a reminder, the new Collections experience is already available for both history and favorites in the Canary and Dev channels. Based on user feedback, the company is now bringing the same functionality to Collections. It provides an efficient way to quickly access and manage projects without losing the context of the page users are currently on.

In the new flyout menu, though, users will still be able to save web pages, add notes, and organize them into different folders. In addition, there is an option to pin the flyout in a pane alongside the browser if required. To do so, click the pin icon available at the top of the Collections flyout menu.

Overall, the redesigned toolbar experience is a welcome addition that will help users save a few clicks and keep everything in one place. We’re hoping that the new collections menu will be generally available in the Dev and Canary channels in the coming weeks.
