Microsoft Edge Beta on Android also gets book annotations, breaking news alerts

Earlier in this week, Microsoft released an update for Edge beta on iOS, delivering the ability to see book annotations and also get breaking news alerts. As has been the pattern, that same version has now come to Android beta users (via Neowin.)

In addition to the above, Edge on Android beta users can now also see a whats new and tips page from the settings and more menu. Please be aware that annotations don't apply to PDF free-form inking just yet on Android, and well switching between a Microsoft Account and Work Account and keep those browsing histories separate.

For now, you can grab these features by scrolling to the bottom of the Google Play listing for Microsoft Edge and opting into the beta. Everyone else should be getting these same features within the next few weeks once testing has been completed.
