Microsoft is getting serious about moving any remaining Band inventory in preparation for launching the Band 2. We reported just last week that Microsoft dropped the original Band’s price to $129. Now, the Microsoft Store has shaved an additional $30 off, making it a cool $99.
Of course, Best Buy has had the original Band available at $99 for a few weeks now. But if you prefer to go straight to the source for your Microsoft products, then you’ll no longer pay a penalty for the privilege.
The Band 2 looks like an excellent upgrade, but at $249 might be a bit rich for some folks. The original Band remains a great product, and at $99, it’s looking more and more like a steal. If you’re so inclined, then grab your credit card and get your order placed before stock runs out.
