Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s first keynote for partners will be during this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC 2014), which is set to begin July 13th. Nadella is expected to speak about how customer needs and how partners are absolutely integral to Microsoft’s ability to differentiate itself in an aggressive competitive landscape.
“This year, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will join us to share his vision for our joint success in a mobile-first, cloud-first world. Satya has long talked about the importance of partners to Microsoft, and he will share his fresh perspective on our business and direction,” the WPC 2014 webpage states.
Nadella hosted a customer/partner webcast on the day he was announced as the CEO of Microsoft, where he shared some initial thoughts and took some questions, but WPC 2014 will be the first time he actually addresses partners in a keynote at a big event. Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner will join Nadella during the event, along with various other speakers.
If you think the Worldwide Partner Conference will be uneventful, keep in mind that during the event in 2012, Microsoft announced the exact timeframe of when Windows 8 would reach RTM and when it could be generally available. Microsoft also offered a discounted price on the Surface devices for attendees at the event in 2013. Let’s see what big plans Microsoft has for this years event.
WPC 2014 begins July 13th and ends July 17th. WinBeta will be on hand to bring you the latest news from the event, so stay tuned!Further reading: Microsoft, Satya Nadella, Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC)
