The Halo Channel app is expanding into mobile with iOS, Android and Windows 10 Mobile apps

Microsoft’s “mobility of experience” strategy marches on. The folks over at Halo Waypoint have just posted a new blog post letting Halo fans know that the Windows Store Halo Channel app is now available on Android and iOS. The studio also said there is a Windows Phone app in development and will be released at the launch of Windows 10 Mobile.

Here’s a sample of what to expect if you’ve never used the app before:

The app is the home for all news, community, Halo Championship Series and Halo original programming. Halo Channel first appeared on Xbox One and eventually made its way to Windows 8 PCs and tablets last year. To celebrate the expansion to iOS and Android, when fans will be given a unique gift. Once the app is download on any platform, and a video is watched, a unique Promotional REQ pack that contains a special emblem in Halo 5: Guardians will be awarded. If you’ve already downloaded the app, you won’t miss out as you’ll receive the REQ pack when Halo 5 is released on Oct. 27.
