Microsoft approves of upcoming Jailbreak for Windows Phone 7
The group ChevronWP7 known for a tool by the same name that allows Windows Phone 7 users to sideload applications onto their Windows Phone 7 device is now back with an upcoming Jailbreak called “ChevronWP7 Labs”.
As Mobileburn.com reports, a new tool by the name “ChevronWP7 Labs” will soon be released by the group ChevronWP7, as stated in a blog post. The tool will let users Jailbreak their Windows Phone 7 which will allow third party programs to be installed onto their device, which in it self is nothing new in the smartphone world, but the big difference here is that according to the ChevronWP7 team the tool has been developed with approval from Microsoft.
The approval means that the Jailbreak will not actively be shut down by Microsoft in upcoming Windows Phone 7 updates, which is something iOS Jailbreakers are way too used to from Apple.
ChevronWP7 Labs will not be free, instead comes with a small fee paid via Paypall to the developers but even total smartphone freedom has a price, right?
The ChevronWP7 Labs tool can be expected to be available soon from the teams website.Further reading: Jailbreak, Microsoft, Windows Phone 7
