Microsoft announces new Office 2016 preview, download now

Microsoft has today announced a new preview of Office 2016 at Ignite 2015, which is available now for users to download and try out. The Office 2016 suite has been, up until now, in closed testing with a small group of Office 365 users. Today, it sounds like the preview is opening up to a more broader audience, being the public.

Office 2016 is the next version of Office, coming sometime later this year. The new suite includes a few new additions, as well as changes to the UI, giving each app their own seperate color, much like the Universal Office apps have. The new Office 2016 preview is available now. Check out this link for more information about the preview and download links.

“In March we introduced an IT Pro and Developer Preview for the 2016 release of our Office desktop apps on Windows, and now—as a next step—we’re ready to take feedback from a broader audience. Today we’re expanding the Office 2016 Preview, making it available to Office users everywhere in preparation for general availability in Fall 2015.

Office 2016 previewers will get an early look at the next release of Office on Windows desktop, but more importantly they’ll help to shape and improve the future of Office. Visit the Office 2016 Preview site to learn more about the Preview program and if it’s right for you.” – Microsoft.
