Xbox Insiders on the Preview Alpha and Skip Ahead rings are both getting new preview builds today. Xbox Insider Program Manager Brad Rossetti has just announced that the first Xbox “1902” build is heading to Preview Alpha Insiders later today, and this will apparently be the next Xbox One system update coming in February 2019.
As for Skip Ahead Xbox Insiders, they will also get a new “1904” build today. The Xbox team is now moving away from the “19H1” codename that was used for new preview builds over the past few weeks, though Rossetti explained on Xbox Wire today that this latest build “has the same features as 1811 and fixes in 1902 plus more to be announced over the coming months.”
Xbox One Insiders – Preview Alpha Skip Ahead users we will be releasing a new 1904 (was 19H1.4) build today at 2.00pm PDT 12/3/18. This is a build that has the 1811 fixes plus the 1902 fixes that Alpha will get today. The E203s are fixed and more details to follow.

Microsoft releases Xbox One system updates more frequently than Windows 10 updates, and this allows the team to introduce new features much more frequently. The November Update for the Xbox One recently brought keyboard and mouse support, enhanced Cortana and Alexa Xbox skills in the US, and more. The Xbox team has yet to reveal what’s coming in the 1902 and 1904 updates for the Xbox One, and we may learn more in the new builds are likely coming before the holidays.
Update: There’s apparently an issue with the new 1904 build and Xbox’s Brad Rossetti has asked Skip Ahead Insiders to not install this build.
Xbox Preview Alpha Skip Ahead users we are asking do not update to the build today as users are reporting E203 errors again. We have throttled the build and the users that hit an E203 send me a DM and remove all USB and try again. If not Factory refresh.
