Microsoft and ASUS will host weekly League of Legends events at Microsoft Store locations

League of Legends tournaments are coming to Microsoft Stores across the world. Locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and Australia will be joining forces with ASUS Republic of Gamers and Hyper X to host weekly gaming events where players can compete for prizes.

The collaborative events are a means to promote the high-powered Windows 10 ROG G752VS gaming laptops with ROG Gladius mice, Whetstone mouse pads, and HyperX Cloud II headsets, according to the Xbox Wire announcement today. Teams or individuals are allowed to sign up via a Microsoft events page to join in the single-elimination brackets tournaments.

Players will be given access to League Unlocked, the premium experience for official League of Legends partners and for e-sports, among other events. They'll have access to all of the champions with almost if not all of the skins available for the event. Furthermore, their personal accounts will receive 20% IP and 50% XP boosts to level up and gain in-game currency afterward, along with other incentives from Riot Games.

Kicking off the tournaments this Saturday, August 26, will be a special event from 3 pm - 9 pm PDT at the Microsoft Store in Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. Attendees will be able to meet popular League of Legends streamers and join in raffles, giveaways, and photo opportunities.
