Major Nelson had a PhotoShop template made to make it easier for people to create custom backgrounds on their Xbox One. The ability to create custom backgrounds is nothing new, but with this new PhotoShop template, it will make it easier to create your own custom images to use on your Xbox One. Now that the NXOE has arrived, it might be time to change your Xbox One background, here’s how you do it:
Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide
Select All Settings
In the Nav pane, select Personalization, and then in the right pane, select Personalization
Select My Home Xbox
Select My background
From My background, you’ll have four options for backgrounds:
- Use Achievement Art: Use any app or game achievements as a background
- Use a custom image: Use an image that is saved on your Xbox One or from a USB drive
- Use a screenshot: use any of your screenshots saved on your Xbox One
- Instead of using an image, you can also choose a solid color as your background
If you are looking to adjust tile transparency, navigate to My color & background, and select tile transparency. From here, you will have four transparency options; Solid, Mostly Solid, Partly transparent, or Mostly transparent. Here is a subreddit that was created with people’s own custom Xbox One background creations. Unless you have an Xbox One Chatpad, it will probably be easier to use your computer to find a custom background, download it to a USB drive and then transfer it to your Xbox One.
If you have an great Xbox One theme, please share it in the comments section.
